Parametric Urban Climbing Wall

Project Overview
This project proposes a parametric urban climbing wall designed as a fusion of sports infrastructure and architectural sculpture.
The geometry enables climbers to train across multiple inclinations, allowing gradual skill development within a single continuous structure.

Design Concept
Unlike conventional climbing walls based on flat square panels, this design explores a faceted three-dimensional surface with varying slopes.
Beyond its athletic function, the wall acts as a visual landmark in public space.

Geometry & Modularity
Geometry & Modularity
The form is generated from a single modular section repeated around a semi-circular axis.
This system supports modular fabrication, serial production, and cost efficiency.

Material & Fabrication
The proposed material is Fiberglass (FRP), chosen for its lightweight structure, durability, and suitability for complex molds.
Diagram Explanation
Color-coded diagrams illustrate overall geometry, modular sections, panelization logic, and side views to clarify the construction system.
Project Value
- Combines athletic performance with architectural expression
- Designed for urban and public environments
- Modular, scalable, and fabrication-oriented
